ARTIST BIOGRAPHY AND STATEMENT
Arthur Roy Adelmann currently resides in Torrey, Utah where he constantly explores the land and revels in the solitude of the high desert red rock country. Inspiration for his current works, entitled "Desert Dreams: Tree of Life Series", is deeply ingrained from childhood, arising out of his love of and close kinship with trees, and very appropriate to his current surroundings with a great profusion of junipers and pinion pines that doggedly thrive in rock and clay. He imprints his personal meanings and symbols to the paintings, anticipating that the viewer will find a like resonance in them.
"My Tree of Life series is not intended as an illustrated compendium of global, social, scientific, mythological and religious concepts associated with it. The motif is rich and varied, and is included in almost all major religions. I prefer to slowly and modestly pursue my own visual and philosophical inclinations, my own subconscious promptings building a personal cosmology."
